Collectibles at an all-time high

Collectibles at an all-time high

It seems like time is passing us by rather quickly. Weren’t the Florida Panther’s recently crowned Stanley Cup Champions? It seems like last week. Yet here we are approximately 6 weeks from training camp, players are already preparing.

NFL training camps are in operation, the regular season begins September 5th with the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs squaring off. MLB is winding down, getting ready for Playoffs and the World Series.

Meanwhile Collectibles keep appreciating, much like we’ve seen houses grow in value over the years. Investors are looking for other things to invest in, with money’s value going down, due to inflation. Collectible like Sports, Art, Watches etc., tend to go up in value. Much like we’ve witnessed with Real Estate in recent years.

The famous Babe Ruth “THE SHOT” Jersey worn by Babe in Wrigley Field, in Game 3 of the 1932 World Series. This jersey was last sold in 2005 for $940,000 USD. It is currently on Auction with “Heritage Auctions’. The current bid is $11.5 million; an All-time World Record for a Sports Jersey. The auction runs through August 24TH, and experts are projecting a purchase price upon Auction close of $30,000,000.
